Bio
Dr. Woods received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Wyoming. She then completed a primary care specialty residency at the University of Tennessee. Her outpatient practice site is at Ivinson Medical Group in Laramie, Wyoming, where she specializes in geriatrics and internal medicine. Her research interests include deprescribing, transitions of care, end of life and palliative care, diabetes, women’s health, and anticoagulation. Her academic interests include effective leadership, relationships of support in mid-career, and equity for non-traditional roles in academia. She teaches didactic lectures across the Therapeutics series, offers an elective course in Geriatrics, and provides clinical training early in the curriculum to P2 students during introductory pharmacy practice experiences (IPPEs). Additionally, she offers Ambulatory Care training for P4 students on advanced pharmacy practice rotations (APPEs).

Tonja is board certified in Geriatrics and provides comprehensive chronic disease management services via an advanced collaborative practice model at Ivinson Medical Group. Dr. Woods is actively involved in AACP, ASCP, AGS, ASHP, Wyoming Pharmacy Association and is an AACP Academic Leadership Fellow.
