Sol Trujillo served as the Managing Director and CEO of Telstra Corporation Ltd. from 2005-2009. Telstra Corporation Ltd. is
Australia's largest telephone company, and is based in Melbourne.
Trujillo previously served on the boards of PepsiCo Inc., Target
Corporation, Gannett Corporation, and Electronic Data Systems
Corporation. He was named one of the 100 most influential Latinos in the
nation in 1994 by Hispanic Business magazine.
Trujillo has held positions such as president, CEO, and chairman of U.S.
West Inc., as well as chairman, president, and CEO of San Diego-based
Graviton Inc. (2000-03). He was also the CEO of Orange S.A. from 2003 to
2004.
In 1999 he received the Latin American Educational Foundation's LAEF (leadership, advocacy, education, and foresight) Award.
Trujillo earned his Master's of Business Administration in 1974. He was
awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Colorado in 2000.
Trujillo currently resides in Melbourne, Australia.
