About Us
Steve Kiggins, Communications Specialist
As interim director, Steve is responsible for
institutional communications to create and maintain a positive image for the
University of Wyoming, both with internal and external constituents. He also
writes, edits and distributes stories for print and broadcast media,
coordinates various university public relations efforts and is a contributing
writer for UWyo magazine, the university's flagship publication. A former
journalist, Steve provides extensive knowledge of feature writing, interviewing
and media production. He has numerous awards to his credit, including the 2004
Wyoming Sportswriter of the Year from the National Sportscasters and
Sportswriters Association and various honors from the Wyoming Press Association
and the Associated Press. When he's not in the office, Steve enjoys co-hosting
a daily sports radio show in Laramie, spending time with his wife and daughter,
playing poker and cooking.
