Dan McCoy is the Assistant Director for Campus Recreation and Coordinator of the Outdoor Program. Dan holds a B.S. in Recreation Management from the University of Montana and an M.A. in Education, Adult and Post-Secondary from UW. Dan is currently pursuing a PhD in Educational Administration from UW.

Before working at UW, Dan worked for the Wilderness Institute in Missoula as a Field Instructor, Longacre Expeditions as a Course Director, and Sweet Briar College as the Outdoor Program and Student Activities Coordinator. Dan has been an instructor for Kinesiology and Health, a former board member of the Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education (AORE), and the Wyoming State Advocate for the Center for Outdoor Ethics, Leave No Trace. Originally from New York City, Dan has been at UW since 1999.
