The Encana Auditorium is an easily adjustable
classroom fully equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual technology. All
technical laboratories located in the EIC can be linked in real time to the
Encana Auditorium so students can participate in the various research efforts
being conducted within restricted areas of the building. The auditorium seats 60 and is equipped with a 3-by-2 matrix tile wall
capable of showing images generated in the adjacent Shell 3-D Visualization
laboratory. The tile wall also serves as an
external computer monitor for showing presentations from a computer or laptop. Other
features of the classroom include three drop-down screens for presentations and break-out sessions, a confidence monitor for presenters, video-teleconferencing capabilities and a lectern
podium housing computer and wireless controllers.
Note: UW faculty seeking to utilize the Encana Auditorium for lecture and lab space are given priority with regard to reserving this facility.
