Mission

Student Leadership and Civic Engagement (SLCE) promotes leadership development and civic engagement opportunities for all University of Wyoming students. We accomplish this by offering leadership programs and resources for individual students, support and training to RSOs, internships with state and federal legislators as well as campus-based programs, and voter education.

We provide resources for academic courses and research opportunities in leadership studies and the implementation of a service-learning methodology for UW faculty. We assess current levels of student involvement and engagement and promote SLCE programs as a means to recruit and retain students at the University of Wyoming.

The Center for Student Leadership and Civic Engagement (SLCE) office is located in the lower-level of the Wyoming Union. The student leaders and staff in the SLCE office work to assist students to develop their leadership capacity and involvement opportunities on campus and in the community; the student leaders and staff help students make a difference while at the University of Wyoming.

Persons seeking admission, employment, or access to programs of the University of Wyoming shall be considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, veteran status, sexual orientation, or political belief.
