University of Wyoming to Present Cinderella Ballet in Four States
The University of Wyoming Department of Theatre and Dance will present the ballet “From the Ashes: A Cinderella Ballet” this month in Gillette and Torrington; Rapid City, S.D.; Scottsbluff, Neb.; and Fort Morgan, Colo.
Presented by UW Fine Arts Outreach, all performances are free and open to the public. Performances begin at 7 p.m. in Gillette, Rapid City, Torrington and Fort Morgan, and 7:30 p.m. in Scottsbluff.

The ballet follows a young woman who discerns her true desires in life against a backdrop of societal expectations. Cinderella struggles against her jealous stepmother, spiteful stepsisters and idealized notions of love.
Performances will feature UW students that hail from the tour locations, including Lindsey Carter of Gillette; Brianna Boyle of Rapid City; Darci Deaver, Samantha Kraft and Niki Kraft of Scottsbluff; and Taylor Kath of Torrington.
