Expert to Discuss Evidence

Douglas B. Marlowe

Douglas B. Marlowe, chief of science, law and policy for the National Association of Drug Court Professionals (NADCP), will speak during the William D. Griffith Speaker Series at the University of Wyoming Tuesday, Sept. 23.

Marlowe will present “Evidence-Based Sentencing for Drug Addicted and Mentally-ill Offenders” at 11:15 a.m. in the UW College of Business auditorium.

Marlowe is a former associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine; the former director of the Division of Law and Ethics Research at the Treatment Research institute; a fellow of the American Psychological Association; and a former member of the NADCP Board of Directors and chair of the board’s research and drug policy reform committees. He also has been published in professional journals more than 100 times.

The Griffith Speaker Series is supported by the William D. Griffith Endowment, founded in 1992 by Wyoming native and longtime FBI agent William D. Griffith. The UW Department of Criminal Justice sponsors the event.
