The University of Wyoming Department of Theatre and Dance will present an informal improvisational dance performance Wednesday, Feb. 18, from 12:45-2 p.m. in the Coe Library rotunda. The event is free and open to the public.

The performance is inspired by the work of influential 20th century artist Merce Cunningham, an innovator and leader of the American avant-garde. UW dance majors will improvise on choreographic movement studies based on Cunningham’s concepts of pure movement and employment of chance mechanisms.
