UW Business Students Help Sheridan Company Win BBB Torch Award

April 30, 2015 — Four University of Wyoming College of Business students helped Kennon Products of Sheridan win the 2015 Better Business Bureau (BBB) Torch Award for Ethics. This is the 17th year for the awards, presented by the BBB Center for Character Ethics, which serves Wyoming and Northern Colorado.

UW College of Arts and Sciences Names 2015 Outstanding Graduates

April 30, 2015 — The University of Wyoming College of Arts and Sciences has selected its outstanding graduating students for the 2014-15 academic year.

April 30, 2015 — Members of Friends of Nepal at the University of Wyoming (FNUW) recently established a fund to help those in need following last Saturday’s devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake that has killed more than 5,000 people, injured thousands and displaced hundreds of thousands more.

UW Expands In-State Tuition Policy for Veterans and Dependents

April 29, 2015 — Changes to University of Wyoming regulations recently approved by UW’s Board of Trustees have expanded the ranks of those who qualify for the university’s offer of in-state tuition to military veterans.

April 29, 2015 — While the U.S. Supreme Court considers whether it should legalize gay marriage, the debate continues over whether Christian business people, and others holding religious disagreements over gay marriage, have a right to deny gays wedding services like cake baking, celebratory flowers and photography. This debate centers on laws called Religious Freedom Restoration Acts (RFRA) recently passed by states such as Indiana and Arkansas with the intended purpose of providing that ability.

April 28, 2015 — TouchNet Information Systems Inc., the online credit card processing company, will impose a convenience fee of 2.75 percent for all Web payments made with credit card products beginning July 1.
