An Americana act, the Ian McFeron Band, will perform as part of the University of Wyoming Summer Programs concert series Wednesday, July 15, from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. on Simpson Plaza. The event is free and open to the public.
McFeron, a prolific songwriter, broke into the Seattle music scene in 2003. Since then, he has released numerous albums and toured throughout the United States and Europe. He and his band perform an average of 200 shows a year.
“Weaving together a variety of roots-American genres, threaded with contemporary rhythms and melodies, McFeron has created a unique form of singer-songwriter music that ranges from driving polyrhythmic rock to gospel-infused spirituals, from playful lyrical narratives to haunting, soulful ballads,” according to the band’s Facebook page.
