Tickets for Comedian John Mulaney on Sale July 10 at UW

Presale tickets for John Mulaney will go on sale Monday, July 10, through Friday, July 28, at the University of Wyoming. The stand-up comedian, actor, writer and producer will perform Friday, Sept. 8, at 8 p.m. in the College of Arts and Sciences auditorium; doors open at 7 p.m.

Mulaney, an Emmy Award-winning writer and comedian, most recently starred in the Broadway hit “Oh, Hello on Broadway” alongside Nick Kroll.

Online presale tickets for UW students and the public are available by logging on to the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts website at www.uwyo.edu/finearts and using the code uwyolol. Student tickets are $20 with a valid UW student ID, and tickets for the public are $40.

The general ticket sale for UW students begins Monday, Aug. 21, and tickets will be available for the public beginning Thursday, Aug. 31. Student tickets cost $20 with a valid UW student ID and $40 for the public. All tickets are available at the Wyoming Union information desk and the Performing Arts box office.

He began his career in New York’s East Village and has since toured around the world. In 2008, he began writing for “Saturday Night Live” (SNL), where he appeared as a “Weekend Update” correspondent and co-created characters such as “Stefon” with SNL cast member Bill Hader.

He currently writes for IFC’s “Documentary Now” and for Netflix’s “Big Mouth,” where he voices the character of Andrew. Mulaney’s first comedy album, “The Top Part,” was released in 2009. He released his second Comedy Central special and album, “New in Town,” in 2012, which reviewer Ken Tucker of Entertainment Weekly hailed Mulaney as “one of the best stand-up comics alive.”

In 2015, Mulaney performed a Netflix original stand-up show, titled “The Comeback Kid,” which the AV Club called “his best hour of his career.”
