Everyone should have the knowledge and confidence to provide first aid to someone having a seizure. Now available to all Wyoming residents, this 90-mintue Seizure Recognition and First Aid Certification is a formal training offered by the Epilepsy Foundation of Colorado and Wyoming.
This training is designed for anyone who wants to know:
How to recognize signs of a seizure
How to respond with proper seizure first aid
When to call for help
September 20 from 4:00 - 5:30 pm
November 1 from 4:00 - 5:30 pm
The class is free and registration is open to all. All trainings will be held via Zoom, and a link will be sent prior to the event.
The Epilepsy Foundation Learning Portal is your one-stop shop to access the Epilepsy Foundation’s online and on-demand trainings about epilepsy and seizures. Many classes offer continuing education credits.
"Managing Students with Seizures" provides school nurses with continuing education to address the real and immediate needs of managing students with epilepsy. The program is accredited by the CDC and nurses receive CEUs upon completion. Access the School Nurses Training.
The School Personnel Training provides school staff with information about epilepsy, seizures, seizure first aid, and the effects epilepsy can have on the child as a whole. School Personnel can receive .1 CEUs upon completion of this 1-hour training. Access the School Staff Training.
