Renae was raised in a Hutterite community near Huron, South Dakota. She graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Physiology and a minor in the Honors program. Her interest in Healthcare came with the realization that it serves as a platform for nearly every academic discipline working together to improve the well-being of the people. She is eagerly looking forward to learning everything the WWAMI program has to offer. Her current interests lie predominantly in the fields of Internal, Emergency, and Surgical medicine. Renae spends her summers working as a wildland firefighter/EMT and allots any of her free time to family and friends, outdoor sports, kickboxing, and the occasional good book.
