Beck graduated first generation at Grinnell College in ‘24 in History with an American Studies minor. During their time at Grinnell they studied Haitian Vodou and its possible resurgence through RPGs. Here at UW, their research interest is on Black American history and they consider David Walker’s ‘Appeal’ one of the best written works ever created. In their free time they like to cook and knit. Their favourite thing about Wyoming so far has been the beautiful views. They hope to get their PhD and become an academic researcher.
