Paño Connections Prison Art Reception Dinner at the Wyoming Territorial Prison

Opening Reception 10/17 at 5pm: 

Paño Connections | Vast Horizons and Confined Spaces

Paño Connections is a nationally recognized traveling prison art collection showcasing the raw talent and ingenuity of confinement. This exhibit will showcase a diverse range of media from the permanent collection alongside art from 6 facilities throughout the State Wyoming Department of Corrections, other formerly incarcerated Wyoming artists, and families of incarceration. 

 

 

 

 

Flyer for the Prison Art Symposium. Held at the Wyoming Territorial Prison, the reception is on 17 October and the exhibit extends from the 17th to the end of the month

Special programming will include:

-A tour of the State Museum that once housed Butch Cassidy and other Territorial Outlaws. 

-A formal dinner reception with authentic prison recipes prepared by formerly incarcerated artists: Eric Christo Martinez, Tommy Rivera, and Robert Fleetwood.

-Panel discussion about the value of rehabilitation and ingenuity of Prison Art, food, and culture. 

-Poetry Readings
