The University of Wyoming Extension Sheep Program provides needs driven information
to Wyoming sheep producers in all aspects of sheep and wool production. Extension
outreach, applied research, and undergraduate and graduate education at the University
of Wyoming encompass the mission of the sheep program. This account is recognized
by the UWE; however, the views and opinions expressed in this account are not necessarily
those of Extension or the University of Wyoming.
The UW Extension Sheep Program is involved in coordinating many events throughout the year. These events may be coordinated in collaboration with other affiliates or independently driven by UW Extension. Below is a list of annual events the UW Extension Sheep Program is involved with. The UW Extension Sheep Program is lead by Whit Stewart, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Sheep Production & Extension Sheep Specialist at the University of Wyoming. Whit is continually supported in his outreach efforts by the UW Extension Program. Graduate students who also work in helping with outreach programs include Chad Page, Jaylyn Whaley, and Lexi Julian. There are numerous undergraduate students who are also involved in Extension Sheep efforts.
