Hello! My name is Síofra Lynch, I am a doctoral candidate in the Anthropology department and a historical archaeologist. My research interests range from the effects of sex work on urban development in the Old West, the influence of women in STEM on sex tech manufacture, and more broadly zooarchaeological research. I received my undergraduate and master’s degrees in Anthropology at Wichita State University (2022 & 2024). Before discovering anthropology, I worked as a mortician combining my love of biology and serving my community. As a graduate student, I’ve gotten the opportunity to teach introductory courses for the department, and I hope to continue teaching after I’ve received my PhD. Outside of teaching and learning, I enjoy working on arts and crafts at home with my partner. Best, Siofra
