All Beartooth HPC users should migrate to MedicineBow
ARCC's Beartooth HPC Users - A reminder to migrate
As we close out 2024, the Beartooth cluster has entered limited support as of December
15th, 2024. We will provide best effort support until December 23rd, and will fully
decommission this cluster on January 1st, 2025.
The Medicine Bow cluster has been in in full production since Summer 2024 and we have
begun working with many of you to migrate workflows away from Beartooth. Here is a
reminder of the important dates related to Beartooth's decommission:Until December 15th, 2024
- PIs are strongly encouraged to migrate to Medicine Bow. Those who have not done
so may fill out a project migration request
- Please review our
Migration Policies- Investor Hardware will be migrated to Medicine Bow as their projects do or as requested
by the Project PI
- Users with accounts and projects on Medicinebow can self-migrate their data using
Globus and directions are available
December 16th, 2024 through December 23, 2024
- PIs are strongly encouraged to migrate any active projects to Medicine Bow. Those
who have not done so may fill out a project migration request
- Please review our
- Beartooth is online under limited (best-effort) support, and all Beartooth projects
should be migrated or scheduled for migration
- Users with accounts and projects on Medicinebow can self-migrate their data using
Globus and directions are available
December 23rd, 2024 through January 1, 2025
- Beartooth cluster remains online but is unsupported
- Users with accounts and projects on Medicinebow can self-migrate their data using
Globus and directions are available
January 1, 2025
- Beartooth will be shutdown and Beartooth /home, /project, and /gscratch spaces
will be inaccessible
- Any remaining compatible hardware from Beartooth will be migrated to MedicineBow
