Scholarships and Tuition Assistance

Congratulations for considering serving the nation as an Army officer!

DO NOT join the Army Reserve or National Guard prior to speaking with us in order to see how it will affect your financial aid package.  If you have already joined the Reserve or National Guard, we can help you navigate any potential financial aid conflicts.

UW Army ROTC offers many ways to compete for scholarships or receive tuition assistance. This is in addition to the financial aid and tuition assistance you may be eligible for through the university.

There are three different ways a Cadet can compete for scholarships:

  • National Scholarships awarded by US Army Cadet Command.
    • 3 & 4 Year scholarships available
    • Click on 'National Scholarships' below for more information
  • Guaranteed Reserve Forces Duty Scholarships
    • These are for Cadets who know they want to serve in the National Guard or Army Reserves as an officer after graduation/commissioning.
    • Click on 'Guaranteed Reserve Forces Duty Scholarships' for more information.
    • Minuteman Scholarship
  • Campus Based Scholarships
    • These are for Cadets who did not receive one of the above scholarships, but came to our program to prove they deserve one.

There are also opportunities for tuition assistance through the simultaneous member program (SMP) with the Wyoming Army National Guard. For any questions regarding these scholarships, please call us at 307-630-7506.
