Pam Ruehle

Pam Ruehle grew up in Cody, Wyoming where she graduated from Cody High School. Upon graduation, Pam attended Cottey College for two years before returning to the University of Wyoming to complete a B.A. in journalism with an emphasis in public relations. While at UW, Pam was an active member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and Mortar Board.
After graduating, Pam spent time in Washington, D.C. as a press intern in Senator Wallop's office and as the assistant press secretary for Senator Alan Simpson. Upon completing her MBA in 1982 from the University of Wyoming College of Business, Pam went to work in the consulting division of Arthur Andersen (which later became Accenture) in Denver, Colorado where she worked for the next 25 years.
During her tenure, Pam was able to work on a variety of projects including the Colorado Lottery computer systems, a patient accounting project at Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie, and a new accounting system for Trapper Mine in Craig, CO. In 1987 Pam started work on a billing project at USWest. This proved to be a pivotal project for her career as Pam was promoted to manager and became a billing expert in telecommunications billing systems spending the rest of her career in that industry. In 1994, Pam was promoted to Associate Partner in Accenture's Communications and High Tech (CHT) Operating Group. She served as the Manager of the Communication's Line of Business and then as the Capability Development Director for the CHT Operating Group.
In 2007 Pam retired from Accenture and has enjoyed spending more time with her husband Tom and son, Jon as they participate in all the outdoor opportunities that their new home in Steamboat Springs offers. In addition, Pam is also very active in many non-profit organizations having served on the KUNC public radio advisory board, and chaired the March of Dimes walk in Boulder, Colorado. She currently volunteers for the Steamboat Adaptive Recreation Sports (STARS) organization and served as the President of the board for three years. STARS provides adaptive recreational opportunities for people with cognitive and/or physical disabilities. Pam is also active in her church and Women United in Steamboat Springs. Pam has most enjoyed staying connected to the University of Wyoming as an active member on the College of Business Advisory Board and served as the Chair of the Advisory Board from June 2014 through May 2016.
