Pam Ruehle grew up in Cody, Wyoming where she graduated from Cody High School. Upon
graduation, Pam attended Cottey College for two years before returning to the University
of Wyoming to complete a B.A. in journalism with an emphasis in public relations.
While at UW, Pam was an active member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and Mortar Board.
After graduating, Pam spent time in Washington, D.C. as a press intern in Senator
Wallop's office and as the assistant press secretary for Senator Alan Simpson. Upon
completing her MBA in 1982 from the University of Wyoming College of Business, Pam
went to work in the consulting division of Arthur Andersen (which later became Accenture)
in Denver, Colorado where she worked for the next 25 years.
During her tenure, Pam was able to work on a variety of projects including the Colorado
Lottery computer systems, a patient accounting project at Ivinson Memorial Hospital
in Laramie, and a new accounting system for Trapper Mine in Craig, CO. In 1987 Pam
started work on a billing project at USWest. This proved to be a pivotal project for
her career as Pam was promoted to manager and became a billing expert in telecommunications
billing systems spending the rest of her career in that industry. In 1994, Pam was
promoted to Associate Partner in Accenture's Communications and High Tech (CHT) Operating
Group. She served as the Manager of the Communication's Line of Business and then
as the Capability Development Director for the CHT Operating Group.
In 2007 Pam retired from Accenture and has enjoyed spending more time with her husband
Tom and son, Jon as they participate in all the outdoor opportunities that their new
home in Steamboat Springs offers. In addition, Pam is also very active in many non-profit
organizations having served on the KUNC public radio advisory board, and chaired the
March of Dimes walk in Boulder, Colorado. She currently volunteers for the Steamboat
Adaptive Recreation Sports (STARS) organization and served as the President of the
board for three years. STARS provides adaptive recreational opportunities for people
with cognitive and/or physical disabilities. Pam is also active in her church and
Women United in Steamboat Springs. Pam has most enjoyed staying connected to the University
of Wyoming as an active member on the College of Business Advisory Board and served
as the Chair of the Advisory Board from June 2014 through May 2016.
