2025-2026 Academic Year

Application based scholarships for the 2025-26 academic year open soon. Now is the time to start thinking about next year's financial aid. Here are a couple of reminders to help you receive your maximum aid!

College of Business Application Based Scholarships

Applications are encouraged from College of Business majors who are residents of Wyoming or Colorado and who have an emotional, mental, or physical disability. Applicants must be registered with the University Disability Support Services office.

Applications are encouraged from College of Business majors with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale who have demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to students with a 3.5 GPA and above who are graduates of Sheridan High School (Sheridan, WY) -OR- of Wray High School (Wray, CO). An ideal recipient would also have participated in high school athletics.

Applications are encouraged for students majoring in Marketing at the UW College of Business. Students should be at sophomore, junior, or senior status, and have a cumulative GPA between 3.0 and 3.5. Applicants should also be well-rounded students, preferably with involvement in community service and extracurricular activities as well as demonstrate financial need by working part-time to meet college expenses.

This scholarship supports students majoring in Accounting with plans to sit for the CPA exam and pursue a career in the state of Wyoming. To be eligible a student must excel academically as evaluated through their GPA and SAT/ACT scores. The scholarship will be awarded to one student starting their freshmen year and will support them as they continue to study accounting and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0. The selected student will receive $500 their freshmen year, $1,000 their sophomore year, $1,500 their junior year, $2,000 their senior year, and $2,500 for one year of graduate school- totaling $7500 of financial support. Preference will be given to students who are residents of Wyoming.

This scholarship supports students majoring in Accounting with plans to sit for the CPA exam and pursue a career in the state of Wyoming. To be eligible a student must excel academically as evaluated through their GPA- maintaining a 3.0 average. The scholarship will be awarded to one transfer student starting their junior year and will support them as they continue to study accounting and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0. The selected student will receive $1,500 their junior year, $2,000 their senior year, and $2,500 for one year of graduate school- totaling $6,000 of financial support. Preference will be given to students who are transfer students from a Wyoming Community College and residents of Wyoming.

Applications are encouraged from students in the UW College of Business who are a non-traditional student or a single parent that has, or is in the process of, overcoming adversity. Applicants are required to submit an essay describing themselves and how they have overcome or are in the process of overcoming adversity in their life.

Applications for this scholarship are encouraged from all College of Business majors with an interest in private enterprise who have demonstrated ambition/determination in career planning. Financial need will also be a factor in selection.

Applications for this scholarship are encouraged for students of junior standing or higher (second bachelors and MBA’s also eligible) who are studying management, marketing, or business administration. Students must have a 2.0 or better GPA and must be attending UW full-time. This scholarship is intended to provide assistance to students who wish to improve their academic performance. Two awards will be selected annually.

Applications are encouraged from College of Business students with a Banking and Financial Services minor. Preference is given to Finance majors with this declared minor, and to students who wish to pursue a banking career in Wyoming.

 

 

Other Opportunities

Additional funding may be available for students studying abroad or participating in exchange programs, as well as for graduate students through assistantship stipends.
