1. How can my organization promote openings to students?

While we have great options to promote opportunities to students, such as internal newsletters, Handshake, and career fairs, we suggest contacting our office directly to craft a plan to build your brand and promote your opportunities in the most effective way possible. There are many other opportunities to engage with the College of Business and expand your partnership; we can do more than simply post your position! 

2. How can I get involved with the Meet the Firms accounting job fair in the fall?

We have combined Meet the Firms with our larger College of Business annual career fair. The event is in early September and is open to all business employers and business students. We make sure to group the firms together, so it’s like Meet the Firms within a larger event. We believe this model attracts more students, especially students who may be undeclared or considering changing their area of study.  

3. When does the College of Business Career Fair happen?

To align with industry recruiting timelines and the academic calendar, we host one large-scale fair each year at the beginning of September. This is our “headliner” event – you won’t want to miss it!

4. How can I participate in the fair?

Employer registration opens via Handshake in April/May leading up to the event. If you would like to be notified when registration opens, please contact us, and we’ll include you in the announcement. Registration for the 2023 event is open now.  

5. What makes the College of Business Fair unique?

To make this event more accessible and inclusive for our students, we have made a few fundamental changes.

• First, we scheduled the event early in the semester to align with industry recruiting cycles. 

• Second, we have extended the event's timing to allow students with busy schedules to attend. 

• Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, we have done away with the business dress code. Our students and employer guests attend the event in jeans and a College of Business t-shirt (provided). We believe this helps decrease the barrier to entry and allows employers to focus solely on recruiting top talent. 

6. I'm new to recruiting on campus and have no idea where to start.
