Global Medicine Opportunities
Our program gives you the opportunity to include an international medicine experience to provide the "BEST ALL-AROUND" education that will prepare you to practice in any setting. Residents interested in participating in global medicine have a number of opportunities to provide medical care to people in developing and undeserved regions. Projects entail trips with students, residents, nurses, community physicians and other interested people. The experiences have been enlightening and fulfilling.
Trips to such locations as Nepal, Pakistan, Honduras and most recently Africa have benefited not only the people in these countries, but our residents, staff and faculty who participated in these excursions.
Participants are required to prepare and give a lecture as part of our didactics.
