Module 1 Construction Documents and Contracts In-person training
This training session introduces participants to various contract documents, contracts, the roles and responsibilities of the parties involved, and their impact on the construction process.
Learners will:

Associate planning of project delivery system

Identify various methods of contract bidding and negotiating including bonds and dispute resolution methods

Explain the meaning of contract and specification terms and phrases
-
Identify various types of construction contracts, documents, and forms
-
Compare and contrast contractor, sub-contractor, and supplier obligations under different contracts
Module 2 Construction Plan Reading In-person training
This training session introduces participants to basic construction plan reading skills, including floor plans, elevation plans, mechanical plans, electrical plans, structural plans, etc.
Learners will:

Interpret information depicted on drawings and specifications

Identify work items from drawings and specifications according to a standard bid breakdown

Detect basic design standards

Practice manual quantity take-offs within accepted levels of accuracy for sample projects

Estimate waste factors for materials, using standards on sample projects
