Set Up an AppointmentGroup Practice
Presenting as a group? We can help! Our staff facilitates practice sessions, offers feedback and helps each group member to feel prepared for the presentation.
Anxiety Management
Apprehensive about public speaking? OCC offers a PRCA exam to determine if students qualify for a special section of Public Speaking that focuses on overcoming this anxiety.
Resources for Public Speaking Anxiety
OCC understands that public speaking can lead to anxiety in many students. We are here to provide support and resources to navigate and mitigate that anxiety. Students can take a Personal Report of Communication Apprehension (PRCA) exam to help determine if they qualify for and could benefit from a special Public Speaking class offering that focuses specifically on overcoming speech anxiety.
Additionally, OCC helps students manage anxiety by:
- Helping students feel properly prepared for an upcoming speech.
- Offering in-person or online practice sessions along self-guided practice techniques.
- Creating a plan to manage anxiety during a speech.
