The University of Wyoming is currently home to nearly 300 registered student organizations! The following groups may be of particular interest to College of Education students.
As a fees-paid student, you are automatically a member of the Associated Students of University of Wyoming (ASUW), which serves as the student government and acts as the voice of all students. For more information about how to get active in ASUW, contact a current Senator.
The University of Wyoming’s College of Education Ambassadors serve as leaders, role models, and supporters of the College of Education to promote a positive public image. As representatives, they work with alumni, current students, faculty, prospective students, and guests. Students selected as ambassadors have excellent opportunities to further develop personal, social communication and leadership skills.
Alpha Tau Alpha (ATA) is a national professional honorary agricultural education organization that plays a vital role in the preparation of those who have chosen a major in agricultural education or extension education. ATA promotes the highest standards of agricultural education and a more intimate acquaintance and closer relationship with individuals who have chosen to major in agricultural education or extension education.
Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), the international honor society in education, was founded in 1911 by Dr. William Bagley to foster excellence in education and promote fellowship among those dedicated to teaching. KDP invites to membership individuals who exhibit commendable professional qualities, worthy educational ideals, and sound scholarship, without regard to race, age, color, religion, sex, or disability. The Alpha Mu chapter of KDP at the University of Wyoming is one of the oldest chapters in the organization. All of the following eligibility requirements must be met before applying:

The Student Wyoming Education Association (SWEA) is a branch of the Wyoming Education Association and the National Education Association. All College of Education students are eligible for membership and member benefits, including:

The Wyoming National Science Teachers Association (NSTA_UW), is a student affiliate of the National Science Teachers Association, and is dedicated to getting the community involved in STEM through collaboration. We like to have fun and teach every age. We believe in getting people involved in activities and showing the fun in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). NSTA_US:
