Additional Accreditation Reports
Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP)
The mission of the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) is to promote the professional competence of counseling and related practitioners through the development of preparation standards; the encouragement of excellence in program development; and the accreditation of professional preparation programs.
The Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Counselor Education and Supervision, and School Counseling programs at the University of Wyoming are CACREP accredited through October 31, 2028.
Higher Learning Commission Accreditation
The University of Wyoming is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), validating the quality of the institution as a whole - including its academic offerings, governance, administration, mission, finances and resources. Maintaining accreditation requires a comprehensive review of the university by HLC every decade, and that review is taking place at UW in 2019-2020.
