This is an Arduino project called Fruit Detector. The idea behind the project is pretty basic. Different fruits have different resistances. The fruits can be told apart by their different resistance values and the resistance values are calculated through the voltage divider approach. The resistor logic could also be applied to be able to tell apart other things, such as food and other food produce. The Project also contains an optional component, an LCD Screen. How the fruits are displayed is left to the discretion of the instructor, as they could be displayed using an LCD Screen, or the Serial Monitor. All the components required for this project are available in the provided Arduino kit. The interface is quite simple to build and would be fascinating to students K+.
The presentation material and code can be downloaded at Fruit Detector.
