BEN AND ALLENE KOHRS MEMORIAL DIETETICS SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is awarded annually to at least one undergraduate in the area of dietetics or human nutrition and food. Outstanding academic performance and contributions to the field are the primary factors used to determine who receives this award. The fund will provide scholarships to students enrolled in or admitted to the University of Wyoming Department of Family and Consumer Sciences studying Human Nutrition and Food. First preference is to award this scholarship to a student enrolled in the Dietetics Pathway at the University of Wyoming.
Ben and Allene Kohrs Memorial Dietetics ScholarshipKATHERINE LACKMAN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is awarded annually to at least one undergraduate in the Professional Child Development option, non-traditional, and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. First preference is to award this scholarship to a student currently working in or have worked in a Head Start program. When no applicants meet the criteria already listed the recipient should be a Wyoming Family & Consumer Sciences student in child development or family and community services who has a career goal of working with young children and their families.
MARION YULE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Ms. Marion Yule taught courses at UW in the 1950s and 60s when our department was called Home Economics. Known as Miss Yule, she was in charge of the teacher education program. This scholarship, in her honor, is for at least one student, either undergraduate or graduate, majoring in any of the program areas within Family and Consumer Sciences who has displayed outstanding leadership in departmental activities and/or student organizations while maintaining a grade point average of at least 3.0.
GAYLE NEUBAUER SHAW SCHOLARSHIP FUND
This scholarship is named after Gayle Neubauer Shaw who graduated from the department in 1928. She was active in the area of home economics education. The Neubauer sisters, Gayle and her older sister Greta, were Wyoming natives and longtime friends of the department, college and university. This scholarship is awarded to a graduate student who has exhibited outstanding performance in the area of research and/or classroom teaching. Involvement in community and extracurricular activities are also used to determine who receives this award.
STELLA MCKINSTRY SCHOLARSHIP
To be eligible for this scholarship award, an applicant must also be majoring in one of the degree programs offered by the Family and Consumer Sciences Department and be in good academic standing. Preference should be given to applicants who have participated in 4-H youth programs. Financial need, as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid, is not a primary selection criterion but can be used as a secondary criterion. Existing students, transfer students, and incoming students are all eligible for this scholarship. The scholarship is renewable and may be granted to the same student for successive years as long as that student is making satisfactory progress towards a degree.
VERNA J HITCHCOCK SCHOLARSHIP
Available to sophomores, juniors or seniors enrolled in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences in the College of Agriculture. Applicants shall have a grade point average of 3.0 or better (on a 4.0 scale). First preference shall be given to students graduating from Wyoming High Schools. Recipients shall be selected by the Scholarship Committee of the College of Agriculture as appointed by the Dean thereof.
