- About UW
Students from outside UWyo are asked to send a completed application. (UWyo students should sign up at the office of the department academic coordinator.) Non UW applicants will be accepted on the basis of academic excellence and potential for professional development as indicated by their application and letter of recommendation. In order to apply, students must have achieved a B or higher in Structural Geology, Sed/Strat, and Mineralogy.
Applications must include a paragraph detailing geologic interests as well as a letter of recommendation from a faculty member of their department. Early applications are encouraged due to limitations on the number of students to be accepted. Applications are normally processed within three weeks. Applicants notified of acceptance must submit a non refundable pre-payment of $100 to hold a seat in the class. Course enrollment will be limited to approximately 24 students in order to maintain a favorable student-to-staff ratio (approximately 8:1).
Please note: All communication regarding registration, travel and grades will be with the student only. At all times students must behave in a mature, responsible manner and must abide by all course rules. If these conditions are not acceptable to you, do not apply to this field camp.
