Join us for two days of thoughtful discussion of wind energy development in Wyoming. Wyoming Treasurer Mark Gordon will kick off the conference and President of Rocky Mountain Power, Cindy Crane, will give a keynote lunch presentation. Panel discussions and presentations will explore:

  • State, national, and global energy trends 
  • Wind energy technology and an evolving western energy grid 
  • Fiscal impacts of wind development to towns, counties, and Wyoming 
  • Perspectives from wind developers 
  • Community development and business opportunities 
  • Values, viewsheds, and western identity 
  • Wind-wildlife impacts and emerging mitigation 
  • Environmental trade-offs of wind energy, from local to global 
  • Existing regulatory structure and opportunities for public involvement in Wyoming’s wind future
  • Planning and siting for wind energy in Wyoming
