HPAIRI is proud to work along side the UW Libraries and National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) to preserve artifacts from the Wind River Reservation, specifically related to elk. Permission from the Northern Arapaho and Eastern Shoshone must be approved before displaying artifacts. 

The High Plains American Indian Research Institute digital libraries is currently under operation to gain approval and share countless artifacts for all to enjoy. With help from the UW Digital Libraries, this project will demonstrate the impact elk have had on the Northern Arapaho and Eastern Shoshone people. Bryan Ricupero and Amanda Lehman are in charge of the digital collections.
