Call for Conference Abstracts:
- Presentation types: Podium and Table presentations will be accepted. Podium presentations will be digital
slide-based, 12-minutes in duration with a 3-minute QA. Table presentations will be
open access over a 40-minute time period and will be free-style with digital, physical
presentation materials, etc. at the choice of the presenter. A standing table will
be provided for each station, and there will be multiple stations set up in a conference
meeting room for multiple table presentations. Podium and Table presentations will
occur on both August 11 and 12 at the Laramie, WY site. In your submitted conference paper, please indicate your preference for a Podium or
Table presentation. The same scientific merit and format will apply when preparing papers for Podium
or Table presentations.
- Scientific merit: Data-based, theoretical, or research review abstracts that have not been previously
published in an archival scientific publication or presented elsewhere at a national
or international conference are eligible for submission. We welcome inter-disciplinary
presentations across the three areas of Kinesiology and Health: Performance, Pedagogy
and Principles.
- Format: All presentation requests must submit an abstract (Podium or Table presentation)
with title and the author information (including affiliation) on the top and the abstract
detailing the presentation body at the bottom. The abstract should be written in proper
English at the maximum length of 300 words in one paragraph, including the rationale,
methods, results, and conclusion.

if your paper was selected for presentation.
Conference Cost and Registration:
This will be an all-inclusive conference, which means the registration fees will cover
lodging, meals, transportation between two conference sites, and all activities during
the week-long conference (August 10–16) until all available slots are reserved. Registration
is limited due to the availability of lodging at the Teton site (UW AMK Ranch). The
organizing committee has worked hard to bring down the cost for attendees, and the
registration fees are listed below:
- As co-hosts, SUS and CUHK attendees are guaranteed lodging and meals at both sites,
as well as the transportation between sites. Attending both portions of conference
is mandatory for the following all-inclusive rates (August 10-16) for SUS/CUHK faculty
and students:
Faculty $900 Student $300
Some Must-Knows for Attendees:
- All international attendees should be responsible for the costs associated with U.S.
visa application and the travel to Laramie, WY, although the organizer can provide
a formal invitation letter to support the visa application.
- Hydration is important in Wyoming’s arid high-elevation climates. Bring a water bottle.
- Casual outdoor dress is strongly recommended for all attendees. Formal dress is discouraged
– think casual and comfortable.
- For those attending both portions of the conference, pack a warm coat/jacket, outdoor
pants, clothing that can be layered, and a pair of hiking shoes. Other essential needs
for outdoor experience will be provided by the organizers.
