May 7, 2025 - In 2007, the first generation of iPhone entered the market, around
the time first-year college students in 2021 were starting kindergarten. When these
students stepped into middle school, not only had iPhones burgeoned (Apple sold more
than 100 million phones in the first 4 years), but Instagram, Pinterest, SnapChat,
and Tinder were newly released and even more dramatically altering the landscape of
how people interact with each other and ideas online.
