Lex Fermelia is a Wyoming native born in Cheyenne, WY and moved to Laramie to attend
the University to pursue a degree in Computer Science. He was a band kid all through
high school and decided to join Western Thunder once he got to college, but that didn’t
stop just there for his marching band career. Lex went on to do Drum Corps (DCI) and
Indoor Percussion (WGI) with groups like the Battalion Drum Corps, Blue Knight Indoor
Percussion, and Blue Knights Drum Corps. From there he returned to Western Thunder
to share my knowledge of band and educate students as the Drumline Instructor!
