About Dr. Tellier

After serving as the senior environmental statistician for Trihydro and a research scientist for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for several years, Marie-Agnès Tellier joined the University of Wyoming faculty in 2023. Statistician and Biologist, her qualifications include a PhD in Statistics and a Master in Biological Sciences, with proficiency in diverse statistical and non-statistical computer programs (e.g., R, SAS, Python, ArcGIS/GIS, SQL databases), and detailed knowledge and experience in field research. Her expertise in biological sciences includes design, implementation, and assessment of ecology and natural resources projects, mostly related but not limited to the aquatic community. Her expertise in statistics includes experimental design, spatio-temporal models, hierarchical Bayesian models, mixed models, multivariate models, and left-censored data handling. Her research interests are in spatio-temporal modeling, computationally efficient algorithms, and left-censored data. Dr Tellier enjoys multidisciplinary research and working collaboratively.

Dr Tellier has worked with stakeholders, agencies, and clients with diverse backgrounds, including various governmental organizations, such as the Montana (MDEQ) and the Wyoming (WDEQ) Departments of Environmental Quality, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the National Park Services (NPS), and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWCC), and universities in and outside the US. Dr Tellier has extensive skills in consulting, technical writing, and oral presentations.
