Environmental and outdoor adventure films and documentaries will be presented virtually during the Mountainfilm on Tour series Thursday and Friday, Oct. 8-9.
The University of Wyoming’s Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources will host the virtual edition of Mountainfilm on Tour beginning Thursday, Oct. 8, at 9 a.m. The films, free and open to the public, will be available to view for 48 hours. Free tickets for Mountainfilm on Tour are available now at www.uwyo.edu/haub/events. The event is in partnership with UniWyo Federal Credit Union.
The Haub School also will host a live giveaway via Instagram Oct. 8 from 6-9 p.m. for participants watching the films. This is the ninth consecutive year that the Haub School has hosted Mountainfilm on Tour for free in Laramie.
Established in 1979, Mountainfilm is an organization and festival of films, people, stories and ideas celebrating indomitable spirit; educating and inspiring audiences; and motivating individuals and communities to advance solutions for a livable world.
Mountainfilm on Tour shares a selection of the films from the annual festival with audiences around the world and offers a free educational outreach initiative for K-12 schools, titled “Mountainfilm for Students.” Each year, the tour reaches more than 50,000 people on six continents.
