Wyoming Higher Education Applicants Sought for UW Entrepreneurship Fellowship Program

Wyoming higher education personnel have an opportunity to apply for the University of Wyoming Center for Principle-Based Leadership and Ethics’ (PBLE) Entrepreneurship Faculty Fellowship Program for the 2024-25 academic year.

The program, with support from the Wyoming Innovation Partnership (WIP), promotes entrepreneurial thinking in higher education across the state and creates a testing ground for identifying best practices in entrepreneurship education. All faculty, staff and administrative personnel at any of Wyoming’s community colleges and UW are eligible for the program. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, May 1.

“Entrepreneurship Faculty Fellows create and embed curricular modules designed to help students within their nonbusiness discipline develop entrepreneurial mindsets,” says Chris Haller, PBLE director. “Fellows will work with UW College of Business entrepreneurship faculty to develop and deploy the module composed of entrepreneurship content and teaching activities for their respective disciplines.”

Fellows also will work with UW’s Ellbogen Center for Teaching and Learning staff to develop methodology to evaluate their teaching modules. Throughout the one-year period, Fellows will meet on a semiregular basis to discuss and identify best teaching practices based on their own classroom experiences.

Faculty Fellows will receive a $4,000 stipend and the designation as an Entrepreneurship Faculty Fellow, Haller says.

Applicants are asked to describe their proposed modules; the courses for which the modules would be developed; why they believe the courses are ideal for the integration of entrepreneurship modules; how they anticipate their students would benefit from entrepreneurship education; and how they might evaluate the modules’ impact.

Proposals can be submitted here.
