Evaluation INformation

  • When transferring credits to the university, students may find it beneficial to go to https://www.uwyo.edu/admissions/transfer (click on Transfer Student Resources, Transfer Evaluation Tools) to access the UW Transfer Equivalency - Self-Service TREQ site as well as the Wyoming Transfer Catalog. These sites can assist in discovering how courses taken at other institutions will transfer and can be used to earn a degree at UW. Transfer evaluation reports created on this site are NOT official but rather serve as a guide. Official evaluations are not completed until after being fully admitted to UW.
  • The following site, Transfer Credit, identifies other types of acceptable credit such as credit by examination options, which include Advanced Placement tests (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB). It also guides students overall about transfer work and the transfer evaluation process.
  • The UW Registrar's Office completes an evaluation of students' transcripts following their admission to the University. Pending approval/clearance on any transfer discrepancies by both the School of Nursing and the Registrar, students' transfer evaluations are subject to change.
  • As part of the Basic BSN freshman/non-freshman admission process, the School of Nursing further evaluates transfer coursework to determine how courses may be applicable to the nursing curriculum for fulfilling the pre-clinical course requirements. Evaluation will also take into consideration the BSN Program Scholastic Requirements and/or Non-Freshman Admission Scholastic Requirements.
