Bio

Kimberly provides Administrative Support for the School of Pharmacy Experiential Education team. Kimberly is a native of Florida and an alum of the University of Wyoming. After earning her BA in International Studies and Minor in Cultural Anthropology from UW, she served in the Peace Corps for three years. While serving as a Health Education Extensionist in Guinea Bissau, West Africa, she supported healthcare workers in village clinics with vaccination campaigns and maternal child health education. Kimberly also received grant funding from AFRICARE and the US Embassy in Guinea Bissau for the construction of thirty-two freshwater wells in eight villages.

Drawn to a different side of human health services, she returned to school to explore a career in healthcare. She first entertained the possibility of becoming a Pharmacy Technician while working at three different hospitals in Florida and Maryland for over six years, wearing many different hats. She completed a Pharmacy Technician training program and accepted a position with Indian Health Service in Fort Washakie, Wyoming. Looking to advance herself, she enrolled in the University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy’s MS in Heath Services Administration program. Completing the MS in Health Service Administration and being a member of the Wyoming Pharmacy Association, she received an email concerning a position that would be perfect for a Pharmacy Technician. She recognized herself in the job description and has been working in this role ever since.
