Pharmacy Research Personnel
Pharmaceutical Sciences faculty lead cutting-edge research in drug discovery, nanomedicine,
regenerative medicine, and translational therapeutics. With major funding from NIH,
DoD, NASA, NSF, ADA, and AHA, their work spans neural repair, cancer, diabetes, cardiometabolic
disease, and neurodegeneration — advancing next-generation therapies and positioning
Wyoming at the forefront of pharmaceutical innovation.
Pharmaceutical Sciences
Faculty in Pharmaceutical Sciences advance discovery and innovation across molecular
pharmacology, drug design, nanomedicine, regenerative medicine, and translational
therapeutics. Their work addresses pressing health challenges such as neural repair
after injury, cancer treatment, cardiometabolic disease, diabetes, obesity, and neurodegeneration.
Supported by major grants from NIH, the Department of Defense, NASA, NSF, the American
Diabetes Association, and the American Heart Association, their research has yielded
groundbreaking advances, including PEG-fusion for nerve repair, silver nanoparticle
biosynthesis for cancer therapy, lipid droplet biology in Alzheimer’s disease, and
rationally designed inhibitors for COVID-19 and neurodegenerative disorders. Publications
in journals such as Nature Methods, PNAS, Neuropsychopharmacology, and Biomaterials demonstrate both rigor and translational relevance. Globally recognized, faculty deliver
keynote lectures at leading scientific conferences, contributing to next-generation
therapies and training future innovators in drug discovery and development.
