Pre-Professional Health Scholarships

Three students looking at a computer while one of the three is pointing at a book

Scholarships come from donated funds, and we are obligated to follow the donors’ requests. You must, therefore, read the criteria carefully, observe all deadlines, and ensure your application is complete. Pay close attention to eligibility criteria before applying for any given scholarship, and apply for all for which you qualify. You must be a current UW student in order to use the WyoScholarships application system. Many scholarships listed below list eligibility criteria specific to the following academic year (i.e., if this is your final year at UW and you will no longer be attending UW in the next academic year, the year the scholarship will be awarded, do not apply for the scholarship). Applications for the scholarships listed below that are designated for those who have been accepted to professional school, however, are usually open from March 15 to April 15 of the student’s final year and are intended to be distributed before the student’s graduation from UW. To apply for scholarships, go to WyoScholarships and search for any of the scholarships listed below to determine your eligibility to apply. If you receive a scholarship, you will be required to submit a thank you letter/card to the donor.

1. Scholarships awarded for upcoming academic year; application typically open mid-fall to March 15

* Note that "pre-med" here = plan to be a physician (allopathic, osteopathic, or podiatric), not a physician assistant (PA)
