Campus Recreation offers year-round golf opportunities with a TruGolf Sport simulator!
The virtual golf simulator is located on the 2nd floor of Half Acre next to the Rec
Sports office. The simulator is available for students, faculty, staff and dependents
with an active Campus Recreation membership. Non-members and guests are not eligible
to use the golf simulator. In order to reserve the golf simulator, participants must complete an introductory training course.
All golf simulator reservations will begin 30 minutes after the Half Acre facility
opens.

In order to reserve the golf simulator, participants must complete an introductory
training course. Trainings will be offered on a weekly basis. Check the Campus Recreation
website for training dates and additional information.
Reservations are required, with up to four (4) participants per reservation slot.
Users cannot reserve more than one (1) tee time slot per day.
Reservations can be made online through the Campus Recreation Member Portal, or in
person at the Half Acre Front Desk.
Reservations will open on a 5-day window from the start of the reservation time.
Golf Simulator use is for an 80-minute period. (After July 1, 2024, Golf Simulator
tee times will be 55 minutes long).
In the event extra time is needed to complete a round, continued use of the simulator
will only be allowed if the next time slot is open.
Tee times are valid for the entire time period and the individual who reserved the
simulator must be present for the entire scheduled time.
If you are unable to attend your scheduled reservation, please cancel through your
confirmation email or by calling the Half Acre Front desk at 307-766-5586. This allows
us to offer that time to other users. If no-shows and cancellations are a regular
occurrence, access to the simulator may be restricted.
Dependents are allowed to use the golf simulator during dependent hours and must be
accompanied by an adult at all times while using the simulator. The adult must be
actively participating and cannot leave the simulator space.
Reservation check-in will be handled at the Equipment Rental desk. A Campus Recreation
Staff Member will get each group started, unlocking the clubs and simulator equipment
for each reservation.
Use only white, clean, and unmarked golf balls, Campus Recreation will provide them
if needed.
Participants are welcome to use personal golf clubs or clubs that are available for
check out at the Equipment desk. Please make sure club faces are clean.
Only one set of clubs can be checked out per group unless they have a mixture of males/females
or right/left-handed players.
Footwear is required. Please make sure shoes are clean and dry. No spikes or open-toed
shoes allowed.
Only drinks in sealable containers allowed in waiting area. Please DO NOT bring food,
gum or drinks into the simulator bay.
Spectators in the simulator area are at the discretion of the person(s) using the
simulator.
Please play at a consistent steady pace, to allow full use of each tee time.
Throwing or smashing of clubs is strictly prohibited and will result in termination
of Campus Recreation facility access.
Damaging and/or tampering with any part of the golf simulator, surrounding area or
Campus Recreation property could result in termination of Campus Recreation facility
access.

Staff. Do not try to fix simulator yourself.
Campus Recreation reserves the right to terminate play at any time.
Campus Recreation is not responsible for the storage, loss and/or damage of personal
items and/or equipment
*Please note: The simulator area is being monitored and recorder by video.
Only one person in the simulator bay at a time.
Before you swing, check your surroundings to ensure nothing is within your range of
swing.
Practice swings must be done inside the simulator bay. Do not swing your club outside
the simulator bay.
Spectators be alert to where you stand or walk, stay out of someone’s swing path.
