The University of Wyoming Ecology and Biogeochemistry Core Lab invites science fair student researchers to explore their facilities. Share your research ideas and Foldscope discoveries with us and we might be able to help you develop them further.

The Wyoming EPSCoR (Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research) current project is all about microbial ecology!  See what UW researchers are doing and how the microbial organisms are helping them understand environmental disturbances.  Read about their work to spark some research ideas of your own!

Host of the 2020 Wyoming State Science Fair Foldscope Party, the UW Geology Museum is a great place to learn about fossils, rocks, landscapes, and geologic time.  Although the dinosaur bones are exciting, we can learn great things about big processes by looking at tiny fossils or mineral grains too!

Share your Discoveries!

With 140x magnification and 2 micron resolution, we are confident that you will see amazing things through your Foldscope.  Share you discoveries with by using #foldscope and #wyoscience fair.  Tell us what you think you see and or post a question along with your picture . it might prompt a research project idea.
