About Us
The EPSCoR/IDeA and Research Development Office (RDO) is the University of Wyoming’s central resource for grant support, research development and funding opportunities. Through targeted initiatives, the office helps faculty grow their research programs and elevate UW’s national research profile. The Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) and Institutional Development Award (IDeA) are key to advancing scientific discovery, workforce development and research capacity across the state. In partnership, Wyoming EPSCoR-IDeA and RDO strengthen grant success by providing funding searches, interdisciplinary team support, seed funding, proposal development and professional growth—expanding research opportunities throughout Wyoming.

Limited Submission Opportunities
Limited Submission funding opportunities occur when a grant limits the number of proposals
an institution can submit. This requires an internal selection process managed by
the Wyoming EPSCoR and UW Research Development Offices. Many of these opportunities
are EPSCoR-specific.
Announcements are shared via campus listservs, and details are available on InfoReady
Review. Internal coordination ensures UW meets sponsor requirements, and applicants
must go through an internal review before advancing. Stay informed and review the

research.
