Showcase Saturday is a university event that allows prospective students to take a
closer look at programs that they are interested in pursuing. Students and their guests
can spend part of the day with the School of Energy Resources to hear from students,
professors and advisors about the Energy Resource Management and Development Program.
The Energy Resource Management and Development program is great for students interested
in the future of energy and energy resources. Two concentrations are available through
the program – Professional Land Management and Energy Land and Water Management.
Students who attend our showcase get an in-depth look into the Energy Resource Management
and Development program split into groups based on the concentration they are interested
in. This allows the students to hear from professors and students from each concentration
and to focus on what is they are about. During this time you hear from students about
internships they have had and how they have applied what they have learned in the
classroom to their jobs, as well as what their thoughts are on the program and the
university as a whole. Professors also take this time to walk through some of the
things that you would actually learn in the classroom. This is a great opportunity
for prospective students to learn about all of the opportunities available, and to
explore degrees and area of interest.
