Starting your job search can feel like a daunting task. There are seemingly endless
job sites, search engines, and blogs out there; all designed to help you find your
dream job after college. So how do you choose? The challenge lies in determining which
of these sites is reputable, trustworthy, and ultimately has the jobs you’re looking
for. As a student at UW, you have a few options here on campus and online to help
with your search:
HANDSHAKE: This is an online tool designed to connect students and alumni with jobs and internships nationwide. Every UW student has an account so all you need to do is log in with your student ID and password to view current jobs and internships, find mentors, search for current job-related events on campus (e.g. job fairs, resume workshops, and more!) and work on your resume.
UW ENERGY CAREERS: This SER specific job site is updated daily with new job and internship postings from Indeed, USAJOBS, Conservation Job Corps, State of Wyoming’s Job Board, the American Association of Professional Landmen, and the International Right of Way Association.
SER JOBS BULLETIN: Wouldn't it be great to receive a weekly notification of all the latest jobs and internships in your field of study? Oh wait, you do! SER students all receive a weekly job bulletin lovingly created and sent out by your advising office. Be sure to check your UW email every Friday after 3 pm to get all the latest postings, helpful tips, and important upcoming job events!
