CMLA is a game changer
CMLA is a game-changer for early-career professionals in the critical minerals space. In just one week, it unlocked insights you won’t find in any textbook, put my career into sharper focus, and connected me with a powerhouse network across the industry. If you want to understand the full picture of this fast-moving field—and see exactly where you can make an impact—this is the place to be.

Truly something for everyone
CMLA is an excellent opportunity to engage with others and learn about developments with critical minerals from many disciplines. There is truly something for everyone in this program - coming from a background in policy, I learned so much about the geology, business, and engineering sides of mining, while also learning how others in policy and international affairs have come to focus on critical minerals. The week in Wyoming highlighted the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to address current challenges with critical minerals. The CMLA team and cohort were wonderful in fostering an engaging environment for everyone, and I am very grateful to have been a part of the inaugural cohort. I highly recommend this program for anyone interested in critical minerals!

Impactful connections
The Critical Minerals Leadership Academy was essential for learning more about the current state of the mining life cycle/supply chain, as well as cutting-edge research and industry projects happening across the United States. More than anything, the opportunity to make impactful connections with CMLA leaders, planners, and speakers, as well as companies providing site tours was invaluable. The best that we can do with what we learned at the CMLA is to build on those relationships to create more opportunities within our respective positions.

Inspiring and also a lot of fun!
The CMLA was a fantastic experience that left me energized in my career and excited for the future of critical minerals. As a geologist and researcher, it greatly expanded my understanding of the critical minerals supply chain and the broader context in which I work. The CMLA was a wonderful opportunity to learn from both the expert faculty and the other members of my cohort. Meeting so many other smart and passionate early career professionals was inspiring and also a lot of fun!
