Doctor of Pharmacy

The University of Wyoming Doctor of Pharmacy Professional Degree Program has a licensure component after program completion. Students will be required to take and pass two examinations to qualify for licensure. The first exam is the North American Pharmacist Licensure Exam (NAPLEX) and the exam information can be found at the following weblink: https://naplexexam.com/. The second exam is the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination (MPJE) and for information please see the following weblink: https://nabp.pharmacy/programs/examinations/mpje. The MPJE scores are not transferable in most states, students should register to test with the state they are planning to practice in. The University of Wyoming Doctor of Pharmacy program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). More information about the ACPE can be found at this weblink: https://www.acpe-accredit.org/UW cannot guarantee that a student will receive licensure in any U.S. State, District, or Territory. Every applicant is reviewed on a case by case basis for selection. Please select from the list below of U.S. States, Districts and Territories as a guide to determine if the UW education meets or does not meet the licensure application processes. Some states and territories may have additional state specific requirements to be met. For these states, the additional requirements are provided. For more information or questions you can contact the School of Pharmacy at uwpharmacy@uwyo.edu  or by phone (307) 766-6120 or you can contact Compliance and Review Specialist Erika Helgeson at ehelgeso@uwyo.edu or (307)-766-3423.
